Meet Alan Vuong, Founder of Chandelier Layers

Creator of the Chandelier Layers technique. Owner of Salon Blanc, Honolulu. Pioneer of scalp care as the new haircare.

Chandelier Layers began in the salon, not in a boardroom. At Salon Blanc in Honolulu — “The Celebrities Salon” — Alan Vuong created the Chandelier Layers technique: a custom-tailored cut matched to face shape, with color selected by skin tone. Clients travel from around the world for that precision.

The brand carries the same philosophy to the foundation of hair itself. The Chandelier Scalp Method holds that beautiful hair starts at the roots, so the scalp is cared for before the hair grows out. The first step is the CL Hair Serum — a scalp-first ritual designed to support a balanced scalp and healthier-looking hair, with a lightweight feel.

The formula reflects Japan–Swiss dual precision: Swertia Japonica (senburi) from Japan and Swiss apple fruit cell culture (Malus Domestica) from Switzerland, with red clover flower extract and hydrolyzed silk. Created in Hawaii. Made in Japan. Purity, potency, performance.

Vuong built Salon Blanc during a financial collapse and launched Chandelier Layers without a blueprint. He is the author of Don't Think Like a Hairdresser and was named Pacific Edge Trailblazer of the Year in 2025. His vision extends to luxury hospitality, where Chandelier Layers is designed to elevate the guest experience across spa, salon, wellness, VIP gifting, suites, and retail — not simply to sell a bottle, but to add another layer of luxury to a stay.
